MINGKUN / INSIGHTS
What to include in a steel inquiry
Start with the application
A useful inquiry explains what the material will be used for and which specifications have already been agreed. Include drawings or a purchasing specification when available.
Make the dimensions clear
List the grade, product form, thickness or wall thickness, width, diameter and length as applicable. State the quantity and whether it is a firm order or an initial planning requirement.
Discuss processing and delivery
Mention cutting, surface finish, inspection, packing and documentation requirements. Include the destination and preferred delivery timing. Confirm the final technical requirements with the responsible project team before ordering.
